Without the orange army, events couldn't happen. If you would like to get involved in motorsport, marshalling is a great starting point.
DURHAM AUTO CLUB WEARSIDE CLASSIC - Sunday 7th September
A few more marshals are needed for the Wearside Classic, which takes place at Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK, Sunderland. Marshals receive a packed lunch, and evening meal (Sunday dinner), along with seeing a full day of very competitive motorsport.
Please contact the Chief Marshal – David Frizelle d.frizelle@yahoo.co.uk
GALLOWAY HILLS RALLY - Saturday 13th September

MULL RALLY - 10-12 October 2025
The Beatsons Building Supplies Mull Rally always depends on an army of volunteers to deliver the iconic event! No matter your experience, we have a role for you both on and off the stages, and we'd also be keen to hear from island residents who could assist at locations close to where they live.
We can offer volunteers:
£30 per leg (there are three legs) expense reimbursement to volunteers up to a maximum of £120. We have limited accommodation options still available too.

HEADING 4 SUBTITLE ONE OF THESE HEADERS SHOULD INCLUDE YOUR SEO KEY PHRASE
Now you've completed the blog post, don't forget to head over to the settings on the left and update your SEO.
Click Settings first, in the general tab you can choose the featured image - this is what people will see on the website and when you share on social media. You can also change the publish date if you like.
Now go to the advanced tab, and add teaser text where it says excerpt. Don't make it too long, or it will cut off on the web page. This is where you can add related posts if you like and turn commenting on or off (I'd recommend off!)
Next click SEO and add your focus keyword in the Assistant and click save.
Make sure your focus keyword is used in the title, a subheading and the alt text for at least one image.
Then write your meta description. Top tip: use the teaser text you added to the advanced tab.
Now click the basics tab and make sure your URL slug is short, contains your key word and is easy to read. Make sure your meta description is showing.
Now go to the social share tab and check the og description is ok.
Finally if you want to you can drop news into different categories - but until you have lots of posts it's not really worth doing.
