Hadrian Motor Sports Club Celebration Night

Memories, Stories, and a Bit of Craic

ANECCC is pleased to share details of a special celebration evening for Hadrian Motor Sports Club who will be 70 this year. Everyone with a connection to the club – past or present – is invited.

The event takes place on Tuesday 30th September at Gosforth Rugby Club, Broadway West, Gosforth. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.

The evening will feature a motorsport quiz, pie and peas supper, and an opportunity to share memories and stories from Hadrian’s long history. Guests are encouraged to bring along old regulations, photographs, and memorabilia to help spark conversations and reminiscence.

This promises to be a memorable evening and an enjoyable opportunity to recognise Hadrian’s contribution to motorsport across the North East, Cumbria, and the Borders.

A charity raffle will also take place on the night, with prizes ranging from motorsport items to bottles of wine. Donations are very welcome, though please note that the raffle will be cash only.

To assist with catering, Hadrian are asking you to confirm attendance in advance, either via their Facebook page or by contacting organiser Andy Whittaker directly. We also encourage members to pass word on to former competitors and officials who may not use social media, so that as many people as possible can join the occasion.

Looking ahead, Hadrian are also planning a Tour on Sunday 26th October, which will visit a number of venues with strong links to the club over the years. The start will be from the Blacksmiths Coffee Shop area at Belsay, with further details and regulations to follow shortly.
