This year's Mull Rally will deliver 140 competitive stage miles despite route changes thanks to a rock fall at Gribun.
The Beatson’s Building Supplies Mull Rally will kick off on Friday 10 October with a revised route for the 2025 event, following a major rock fall on the B8035 at Gribun Rocks, which made a significant part of the original route impassable.
Working in close partnership with local authorities, Motorsport UK and the island community, the Mull Car Club team have designed a new route that preserves the rally’s renowned challenge and character.

The rally will feature around 140 competitive miles over three demanding legs.
Clerk of the Course, Colin Harkness, said: “thanks to the incredible support of the local community, the authorities and Motorsport UK, we’ve been able to pull together and create a route that still delivers the Mull Rally that competitors know and love. This island has one of the best rally communities in the country; their help has been invaluable”.
The 2025 Route
The rally retains its Tobermory Distillery scrutineering and popular town centre start, before heading straight into the darkness on Friday night, the longest leg of the event at over 50 competitive miles across five stages. This year, the action moves to the north of the island, with competitors tackling Mishnish, Calgary and Loch Tuath from Tobermory, followed by Glen Aros and Hill Road, then a second pass of Loch Tuath to round out the night just after midnight.
Saturday morning sees a restart from Garmony, before a midday loop featuring Loch Tuath/Hill Road and Mishnish reversed and service in Tobermory. The afternoon brings the addition of Calgary North before a 4pm rest halt.
Saturday night begins with a 9pm restart and the return of Glen Aros, followed by Calgary and Mishnish before a final service at Craignure. Crews then head for the finish back in Tobermory at 1:45am.
